Paddling Adventures

These durable, spiral bound 21.5 x 28 cm (8.5 x 11 in) Mapbooks show you countless paddling lakes, rivers and creeks in a particular region or province, complete with notable features such as campsites and boat launches, plus bays, fjords, inlets and passages in coastal areas. These maps also show you portages with marked distances, plus natural features including rapids, waterfalls and wetlands. Industry-leading road and trail coverage shows you exactly how to get to your put-in or take-out location.

Most of the paddling routes shown on the maps are supplemented with detailed written descriptions compiled by our team of outdoor writers and researchers. These descriptions include information on lake, river and ocean routes, route length, difficulty, portages, access points, put-ins and take-outs, highlights and more. In the descriptions, we use a modified version of the International scale to grade rivers, where overall paddle is the grade of the river and class refers to the difficulty of specific features.
