Rec Site Adventures (BC)

These durable, spiral bound 21.5 x 28 cm (8.5 x 11 in) Mapbooks show all the rec sites across the province, whether they are found on the side of the highway or deep in the bush. Drive-in campsites are differentiated from backcountry camps and we also show features like boat launches, beaches, picnic sites and day-use areas. Industry-leading topographic relief and shading ensures you know exactly what to expect from the terrain surrounding a rec site, and we show you more roads than any other maps so you can be sure of how to access your camping spot.

Most of the rec sites shown on the maps are supplemented with detailed written descriptions compiled by our team of outdoor writers and researchers. These descriptions include information on access, amenities, activities, fees, highlights and more. These listings also feature handy activity symbols, so you can tell at a glance what to expect from a particular recreation site.

SAMPLE OF WRITTEN DESCRIPTION:

Big Sheep Creek Recreation Site (Map 2/C6)
Hidden in a valley of the Rossland Range, there is space for one tenting party at this tiny site on Big Sheep Creek. Fishing and hunting are the primary attractions here, however the drive over Record Ridge and into the valley is very scenic. Beyond the recreation site, the Big Sheep Creek FSR becomes very rough, suitable only for four-wheel drive vehicles and hikers.
