Bigmouth Creek Trails (Map 45/C4)
The Bigmouth Forest Service Road follows Bigmouth Creek east into the mountains from Highway 23, gaining over 500 m (1,640 ft) of elevation over a one-way distance of 39 km (24 mi). At km 6, it is possible to cross the creek and follow the Louise Lee FSR for 24 km (15 mi), or take a shorter ride along the BMX Road, which runs north for about 12 km (7.5 mi). It is also possible to follow the Chase FSR south for 5.8 km (3.6 mi). Many riders choose to drive to 39 km and use that as a staging area for exploring the alpine. Either way, this is an easy ride into the heart of the Selkirk Mountains.
