BRMB TEAM

Russell Mussio

President / Co-Founder

Born and raised in Trail, BC, Russell grew up with a love for the outdoors. The idea for Backroad Mapbooks came into existence when Russell and his brother, Wesley, were exploring the Lower Mainland of BC in 1993. Frustrated with the mess of outdated and incomplete maps available, one thing led to another until the map book idea was spawned.

When he isn’t busy sifting through the newest information in outdoor recreation for Backroad Mapbooks, Russell is involved in helping establish new recreational opportunities like the Okanagan Rail Trail. He is also co-owner of Algonquin Bound, a leading canoe and camping outfitter servicing Algonquin Park, and he loves to get outside and test the latest BRMB products and mapbooks, whether it is camping, hiking, fishing, hunting or otherwise exploring.
