BRMB TEAM

Katie Brown

Graphic Designer

Katie started her education with a degree in business - human resources, which ultimately led her to find her passion for working on the creative side of things as well as giving her the skills to work well with just about anybody, which is invaluable in every aspect of life. After completing her graphic design program at BCIT, Katie has joined the BRMB Team and has been working on the print layouts of our books as well as web graphics.

Katie has a big passion for the outdoors and all that our natural world has to offer. When she's not in front of her laptop working on a BRMB book layout with a big cup of orange pekoe tea, you can usually find her in the mountains going for a ski or up at her family cabin enjoying a day on the lake.

If you were deserted on an island but could bring one thing, what would it be? A hammock. If I'm stuck on a deserted island I may as well be comfortable!

What is one place you are dying to travel to? I would love to make a trip to the Scandinavian countries.

What is your favourite part about working for BRMB?

The fact that it allows me to mix my graphic design skillset with my passion for the outdoors. Not to mention, learning about new, interesting spots around the country to check out is a bonus

Cats or dogs?

Dogs, no question.

Coffee or tea?

Tea in the morning, coffee in the afternoon, and tea in the evening.

Favourite outdoor activity?
Skiing in the winter, and anything in and around a lake in the summer!

If it could be one season all year round, what would you choose?
That's a toss-up between summer and winter but if I absolutely had to choose, it would be summer. I'm a sucker for seasons though. I always get excited for the next one.

Name one superpower you would want to have.
Time travel. I don't need to go change anything or interact but to be able to go back in time and observe and see what things were like would be very cool.

What is your favourite BRMB product and why?
All of the BC Mapbooks. No matter how many times I flip through the ones I have, I always find new places I want to check out.
