Kaila Walton is a photographer, hiker and explorer based in the Northwest Territories who has years of experience travelling around Northern BC’s backcountry in her Jeep, searching out Mother Nature’s hidden treasures with the help of our Backroad Mapbooks. Through her social media presence Kaila aims to inspire anyone and everyone to get outside and explore, no matter where they come from.

Kaila is passionate about preserving our forests, rivers and lakes for future generations to enjoy and uses her photography as a tool showcase just how beautiful Canada’s wilderness is. Always opting for the path less travelled, Kaila can be found anywhere from mountaintop to creek bed as she checks another natural wonder off of her bucket list.
