Emily Iverson is a Vancouver Island-based explorer, photographer and dog mom. On any given weekend you can find her and her pup Koda hunting for hidden waterfalls, trail running along the Pacific coast, summiting a panoramic peak, kayaking to a secluded cove or spending the night amongst the stars during each season. Together, Emily and Koda use their Backroad Mapbooks to guide them to all sorts of amazing backcountry destinations.

Emily has been exploring the outdoors since she was a young child, and her sense of adventure has only grown. And since rescuing Koda, she has become even more inspired about finding the most photogenic bits of nature that Canada has to offer, trekking deep into the wilderness with her furry friend in tow.
