Reel Your Kids into Fishing with Canada’s Learn to Fish Programs

One of the best ways to create memories as a family is by learning new skills together in the outdoors. Whether you are training your kids how to pitch a tent, educating them on paddling techniques or just leading by example while hiking through the forest, your entire crew will have fun and enjoy learning some new-found skills. That is why many provinces across Canada have incorporated learn to fish programs and free learn to fish days. On any of these free learn to fish days, families can enjoy a day of license-free fishing in their province. Although regulations and rules still apply, the ability to fish without needing a license allows families the chance to experience and learn a skill they might never have tried before! As well, during license-free fishing days there are lots of programs and courses run by professionals to help you learn more about the sport of fishing!

Check out the schedule below to see when your province’s free family fishing day, or days, are coming up and be sure to plan ahead to enjoy a reely good time with your family this spring and summer!
